My mother grew up in Milford, Ohio but our family moved to Michigan (my father's home) when I was two years old. My father died in 2016, and in summer 2019 Mom moved back to Milford, positioning herself within twenty minutes of all of her surviving siblings, some of her nephews, and their kids as well. It makes perfect sense for her, but it's hard on us to have her three hours further away.

Meanwhile one of those relatives she now lives closer to, Kaki Scheer, tweeted that a "group of [Cincinnati] Country Day students walked ALL the way to Milford and back!" And I instantly though "All The Way To Milford" was a tune title, especially given Mom's move. The next day I wrote this, the first real slide I've tried for.
