ACN '98 Games

What I have a problem with are wuss Amberites -- the proper flavor of an Amber game, in my opinion, requires that the characters think large, act heroically, and go balls-out for what they want. -- Sarah Bear

I'm running two games at this year's Ambercon North. One of the booklet descriptions lacks a bunch of info (I was in a hurry), and both games call out for background information. The background stuff will be up as soon as it's done -- if you're interested in the games, keep checking out this page. -Sol

Big Trouble in Little Chaos
(SW, Slot 2, game 98-2D)

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass,
and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Chaostown. The most exotic district of Amber City. Trouble is brewing there, and you're about to be caught in the middle of it. Lighthearted action adventure in the tradition of John Carpenter.

Set in Amber after the Merlin Chronicles. In a nutshell, increased trade between the realms has led to immigration and led to the creation of a Chaos district in the city. Weird stuff happens there, but the natives put up with it because of the interesting goods rolling in -- besides, the food is good.

Designed with Amber characters in mind, but I'm more than willing to squeeze Chaosites in. I'm looking for 5 characters, built from 100-200 points. It's a shared world game -- your characters will be shoehorned into this universe for the duration of the game.

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, "Give me your best shot. I can take it."

Blaze of Glory
(PG, Slot 5, game 98-5D)

We are about to have the honor of charging you.

A private shadow of planes, trains, pirate ships, and adventure is Bleys's favorite playground. Now the play has gotten a little rough, and he's been captured. It's up to his elite guard to swashbuckle across half a continent to rescue him. 6 players, pre-generated shadow characters.
